Varithena® (polidocanol injectable foam) is the only FDA-approved foam treatment for varicose veins in the great saphenous vein (GSV) system of the leg.
Varithena® has been proven to:
- Improve the 5 symptoms patients consider most important (HASTI™ Symptoms):
- Improve vein appearance
Varithena® (polidocanol injectable foam) is a prescription medicine used the doctors of Las Vegas Vein Center to treat varicose veins caused by problems with the great saphenous vein (GSV) and other related veins in the leg’s GSV system. Varithena® improves symptoms related to or caused by varicose veins, and the appearance of varicose veins.
Varithena stops the reflux and eliminates painful symptoms. Ultrasound guidance is used throughout the procedure to visualize your superficial venous system and direct a tiny catheter into the diseased vein to inject Varithena to seal the refluxing vein segment(s). After the vein is sealed shut, blood then naturally reroutes to healthy veins.. The treated veins will shrink over time and be absorbed by the body.
